Create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and give me a willing spirit.

is food your drug?

"Food, Gluttony, Fasting and the Kingdom". Frank Viola Podcast.
Luke 12 - Gluttony, drunkenness & a connection with your heart growing cold.
Gluttony - Rushing into eating without thinking - puts your energy into a stupor.  Is it idolatry?
There is a sacredness about food, that we no longer notice because we have food abundance.
Food should represent Christ to us. Christ is the real food. Any meal I eat should point to Jesus.
Meat eating - to sustain my life - a life was taken. So do you want to overeat unnecessarily? Lazy & glutton are often linked. Food is compared with immorality (can be a slave to either) because where we spend our time, thoughts, resources, focus is our God.
Jesus spent a lot of time eating with people - and was accused of being a glutton & drunkard!
There is a time for feasting - but its NOT every day! Feast and eat mindfully, with gratitude.

Do you use food to soothe yourself? Are you an emotional eater? Quiz from TBYT.

control your soul & Body

Some excellent short videos and posts from Curt Landry.

Control your soul: Feed your spirit-man by praising & worshiping, then your soul-man (which wants to complain and worry) is neutralized.

Control your emotions: Meditate on God's word and Be of Good Courage and Great Success!

What is lust? Any out-of-control desire. Check yourself - what drives your actions and choices? (Examples of lust: Addiction, Laziness, Gluttony, Gossiping, anything out-of-God)
"The desires you have may not be evil in and of themselves. But when we use the enemy’s ways of meeting them, as opposed to God’s, we have just traded joy for temporary satisfaction. God does want us to have desires. He just wants to be the source of them." “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”—Psalm 37:4 How to fix the problem? "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”—Galatians 5:16

If it (e.g., gossip or addiction) is a problem in your family, then break the generational curse.

"I want to do more than hear a word from God.
I want to become that word.
That is revelation's ultimate purpose-for the Word to become flesh."

"Most of us were cursed by the people that love us the most because they didn't understand it, our parents. They're called word curses, "Oh, you won't amount to anything." But there's a way to reverse it that few have ever tried, and there's a way to be blessed. Once you reverse the curses and walk in the blessings of God..."
"I want to renounce some things that I've spoken over you." And I did it in fear. I asked the Lord to let me take what I spoke on them off of them, and to resay it and put a blessing on them. Then I asked the Lord to, "Let's revoke this thing, and snap the spine of it so it can't affect them anymore from this day forward." So I stood there in my house, and I as their father laid my hand on their face, and I ... that was the first time in my life I blessed something, I blessed my children."

Excerpt:      "You are a triune (three-in-one) person— spirit, soul and body. Your body is made up of the elements of earth. God created every part of your body to cooperate with and thrive in the earth in which you live. It holds up and carries you throughout your life.
You have a soul created by God to help you communicate within your world. Your soul is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions. By your soul you interact in your life and express yourself.

And who you truly are is defined by your spirit--the real you. It is the heart and the core of you. Your spirit is the center of your true life. It is the very life in you. Genesis 2:7 gives us the simple picture of man’s creation: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
God gave His very own living breath to man. He gave man the Spirit of life! Now, He gave us natural air to breathe, and He also gave us that breath of His very own Spirit, making man an exceptional being among all God’s creation! He created us with a unique life that is a complete expression of Himself."

your body is inhabited

“Christ not only in heaven, but Christ within us, as really and truly inhabiting our bodies as we do, as really in us as we are in ourselves. This is the teaching of the Bible and it must be spiritually apprehended by a divine, personal, and inward revelation to secure our abiding in Him.”  ― Charles Grandison Finney, Principles of Union with Christ

We are made in the likeness of God. Jesus was begotten not made.

When we are Spirit Birthed in Jesus we become new creatures.

To manifest our new Being we allow the Holy Spirit and the Word to change our thinking, feelings, consciousness, subconscious & actions.

What you focus on is what you become and manifest. So, focus on  Jesus. WORSHIP God. Be present in Holy Spirit.
