be aware of your focus meditation

When quieting yourself, being still before YHWH, to what does your thoughts or feelings drift? What's your focus? What you focus on is what you'll feel and move towards and do and become. That's why God says NO idols - he wants our focus on Him - so we can become like Jesus and be indwelled with His Spirit.

Don't ignore what is happening around you - but don't get so sucked into other peoples fears or views that you're dragged down. Keep your focus on Jesus, even while you carry Him inside you, in your life and work and doings and being. Make a conscious decision to keep your focus on Him, and when you drift away, notice it and come back.

​Watch your language. What's coming out of you? What are you saying to yourself? What's the internal dialogue? Speak positively, with encouragement, to yourself and to others. 

"...be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:19-20 (KJ21)
