A quote from Patricia King's book, Overcoming the Spirit of Narcissism, (kindle version, at location 122 of 780): "When you are deceived you do not know it; that is the nature of it. Deception is different from rebellion. If you were to rebel, you would know what is right yet deliberately choose to do what is wrong. When deceived, you actually believe you are right. Deception creates blind spots in your perception so that you cannot actually see the truth. What you believe feels like the truth when you are deceived."
Meditation: If there is any part of your life that "isn't working" it may be because of a deception. Still yourself and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any deception to you. If its too difficult to be still, go prayer walking (especially pray in tongues) and ask for revelation of any deception. 1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood. Discipline your mind to only think in line with truth (reciting God's promises to you, no fear).
Calm your body. Discipline your body. Build the right habits into your muscle memory and cells. Keep your spirit open to hear/do with God. Throughout the day, drop down into your torso area, check in with your inner man - what do you feel? It should be true peace and true joy and restfulness. If not, if there's any stress or fear or anxiety or anger or anything weighing on you, identify it and release it. Move to thankful joy. John 17: ...Jesus ...prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted me authority over all people that I might give eternal life to everyone you gave me. Now this is eternal life: To know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. I brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. Consider these 2 scriptures (from YLT): 1 John 5:13-15 These things I did write to you who are believing in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that life ye have age-during, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God. And this is the boldness that we have toward Him, that if anything we may ask according to his will, He doth hear us, and if we have known that He doth hear us, whatever we may ask, we have known that we have the requests that we have requested from Him. The chapter then goes on to explain we can pray in confidence that God will give life to those for whom you pray and forgive, because you're praying and functioning in His will.
